Linda lecours of ottawa ontario is the last unicorn screening tour’s may 2017 prizewinner selected at random from the 10 000 people who signed up as tour members at screenings linda attended the 5 17 2014 show at the silvercity gloucester cinemas as her prize linda pre ordered the expanded deluxe last unicorn graphic novel for herself and the friends she came to the show with plus a Official Doctor Hero Covid 19 T Shirt last unicorn blu ray dvd combo that is being shipped to her now the last unicorn was one of the first books I read as a child and introduced me to the fantasy genre it will forever have place in my heart my mom found the vhs version of the film behind the cash register at a drug store we were very excited to see the movie and it has been a staple in our house ever since then being able to see it for the first time on the big screen and meet peter s beagle was really a dream come true it was beautiful congratulations linda we re glad you won but it turns out there s a second winner this month as well the tour s first ever runner up see the way prize selection works is that a set of 50 random numbers is generated that determine which tour members are potential winners each person on the list is called in order until someone actually picks up the phone the callers don t leave messages they just move on this month though someone called back to see who had rung but left no message rachel steponaitis who attended the 5 8 2015 show at the marquis theatre in middlebury vt there was already a winner for the month but if rachel had called back a little sooner it would have been her right plus it was her birthday so the tour decided to give her a prize as well rachel s selection was a haggard s castle fine art print by brittany cox I am so excited that I was chosen as the runner up for the month of may drawing I am a huge fan of the mr peter beagles books last year my sister and I went to the last unicorn showing in middlebury vermont we were very excited to see and meet other fans of mr beagle’s book the last unicorn what was the most amazing part of the evening was that I was able to meet mr beagle before the showing in the nacho bar area my sister and I had a wonderful chat with him and we talked about his work his travels and about his visits to vermont long ago I think mr beagle liked the vermont maple sugar snacks we gave him _ I had a wonderful time at the screening the movie my sister bought a hat and a new copy of the last unicorn novel and she still grins every time she looks at the book.
